Wireless solutions must meet or beat the performance and cost of the wired solutions they are displacing. The link reliability is one of the most important performance factors. Solutions based on conventional wireless chips such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, the standards aimed at consumer markets, are inadequate to meet the sensitive needs of wireless healthcare disposables.
