The heart of REACH™ is HealthMicro’s revolutionary standards-compliant Dynamic Multimode Radio that maintains a highly robust wireless link at minimum power by continuously adjusting radio behavior with changes in channel conditions. Furthermore, REACH™ Radios have high degree of coexistence, another key requirement for wide deployment of wireless healthcare disposables. A large number of REACH™ Radios can operate in parallel with great reliability allowing simultaneous continuous monitoring of many patients. Furthermore, REACH™ Radios do not cause interference to sensitive clinical equipment.

As shown, REACH™ chips provide improvements over other radio chips by orders of magnitude in terms of radio energy/bit and chip power to address healthcare applications. Due to its ultra low power modes and tailored data rate handling capability, REACH™ chips can operate from low cost disposable batteries for days in continuous data transmission mode.
